Timeless Trends at Scalamandré
Some things never go out of style. Longevity just increases its beauty, making you love that item even more. That's why it makes perfect sense that Scalamandré selected some of their most iconic fabric patterns and created matching wallcoverings. You can now find your favorite florals, nature scenes and soon-to-be classic new offerings inspired by past motifs. While Fabrics and Home loves the entire line, here are a few we want to highlight for you:
Scalamandré's Central Park Brings the Outside In
Central Park captures the beauty of the outdoors with a sumptuous foliage design, available in a variety of shades that feature the bright greens of summer to the multicolored tones of fall. The design is slightly re-imagined on wallpaper, using the same coloring and imaging as the fabric, but rescaled on a grander scale appropriate for wall span. The wallcovering comes as a pre-trimmed roll, 27 inches wide by 8 yards long— that fits 54 square feet.
Pignoli and Scalamandré Infuses Your Home With Vibrancy
The edible seed gathered from the cones of the Italian Umbrella Pine, known as Pignoli or pine nuts, have long been linked to the Italian countryside. The fabric Scalamandré designed is an honorable homage to this majestic tree and features its long branches and pinecone. It comes in six colorways, including Blue Jay, and the wallcovering makes you appreciate nature and the simpler things of life.
Scalamandré's Nymph Florals Offers Springtime Year Round
Fans of the book, "The Secret Garden" will adore seeing those fine English grounds in their home with Scalamandré's Nymph Floral's Springtime, a multi-hued wallcovering showcasing a rescaled design of its fabric version. A festival of flowers, from foxgloves to wisteria to hydrangeas and more bloom in the lush garden of your home. The two available palettes work in almost any setting, whether you're decorating a child's bedroom or a sitting room.
A Scalamandré Favorite: A Hand-Blocked Tree of Life Print
When Cumbria premiered in 1922, the fabric quickly became a popular pattern with its beautiful hand blocking and Tree of Life design. It truly is a work of art, requiring 46 different pigment-based dyes and 138 blocks to create one full width of fabric. Scalamandré added four colorways on linen in 2017, and now they've expanded the style's reach with a wallcovering version, rescaled and digitally printed on grasscloth.
