The hues of 2026 support bringing an inner peace and light into your space. The Pantone Color Institute started the practice of choosing a color of the year in 1999 as an educational program to jumpstart conversations about culture and color, with their first official selection becoming Cerulean Blue. More than 20 years later, an annual hue is still picked … with other companies now joining in with their choices. Here are some of 2026’s Colors of the Year (COY):

Pantone Presents Cloud Dancer as COY: This soft white hue allows versatility, offering the ability to harmonize and contrast any other color. It brings a sense of lightness to interiors and simplifies an increasingly complex and frenetic world. Cloud Dancer gives a clean, calming, ethereal feel to whatever it covers, bringing harmony and serenity with it. “At this time of transformation, when we are reimaging our future and our place in the world, PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer is a discrete white hue offering a promise of clarity,” explained Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, on the company’s website. “The cacophony that surrounds us has become overwhelming, making it harder to hear the voices of our inner selves. A conscious statement of simplification, Cloud Dancer enhances our focus, providing release from the distraction of external influences.”

Benjamin Moore Offers Silhouette AF-65 as COY: Anyone will enjoy this deep espresso brown color, with gentle undertones of charcoal and burnt umber. The hue finds its inspiration from luxe tailored clothing and its easy sophistication works well for interiors, accent walls or even cabinetry. Its neutral tone makes it an excellent color to pair with greens, whites or terra cottas, and Benjamin Moore offers a palette of seven hues as suggested options: Raindance, First Crush, Swiss Coffee, Batik, Narragansett Green, Southwest Pottery, Sherwood Tan.
