MOORIS & COMPANY FABRICS
William Morris had a bold philosophy when he began his company over 150 years ago – “I do not want art for a few, any more than education for a few or freedom for a few”. Mr. Morris believed he was not just creating home furnishings, but pieces of art that would gain value each year. He was designing and manufacturing items that would stand the test of time. Such high standards and quality still drives Morris and Company today.
FABRIC COLLECTION
William Morris created his earliest textile collections with hand printed designs manufactured in his South London workshops. Featuring natural dyes that aged into even tones, these hallmarks of sophisticated craftsmanship are what drive William Morris & Company today. Their archive contains an amazing number of patterns that staff designers can reproduce or re-create to formulate bold new styles. Their Lines strive to bring a balance between the elegance of the past and the innovation of the present.
