HISTORY
Maxwell Fabrics began in 1953 by a visionary businessman named Michael Garaway. The company was called Vancouver Quilting and focused mainly on hand-guided quilted fabrics used for bedding and ski apparel. In 2001, the company decided to slowly phase out their quilting business and concentrate more on its home décor offerings. As the company grew, the founder brought in his two children, Larry and Darlene to focus on the design and creative aspects of the company. Presently, the President, Michael Garaway and Design Director, Jennifer Apple to manage and seek exotic discoveries from around the world for Maxwell Fabric’s design inspiration.
