Lulu Dk was created through the eyes of an artist. Founded by Lulu DeKwiatkowski, the Lulu Dk collection boldly reflects DeKwiatkowski’s artistic eye by producing a collection that is intricate in detail, while being mesmerized by its pure beauty. This painterly style is reflected in everything Lulu Dk creates. The Lulu Dk brand started as a small business in New York and has evolved into a very special company. Lulu DK is a tireless supporter of the New York Head and Neck Institute (nyhni.org), where they give back to children suffering from debilitating brain tumors. This type of philanthropy began when Lulu partnered up with a dear friend who suffered from this type of cancer when she was younger. Together they use their life’s successes to help others heal.
For the last 20 years, Lulu DK fabrics and wallcoverings showcase a style that embraces the vibrance of colors by bringing together geometric patterns and floral designs. The Lulu Dk brand creates the prints for the luxury bed linen firm Matouk, fabric house Schumacher on the Lulu DK Child collection, Elson & Company carpets, Elite Leather, Land of Nod and Caspari, and Quadrille Fabrics.
A native New Yorker, Lulu DeKwiatkowski attended the prestigious Parsons School of Design, graduating with both a Fine Arts and Interior Design degree. Soon after graduating, Lulu headed to Paris. While in Paris, she came upon a fabric mill outside the City of Lights and inspiration took hold. She began to incorporate her trompe loeil wall paintings onto fabric. From that moment of design clarity, LULU DK was born.
