Gary Glant is inspired by the world around him. After returning from a trip to Hawaii, Glant created a fabric texture based on the lava from a volcano, it was featured in the Museum of Modern Art, in New York. The need to be inspired and translate that inspiration, defines the extraordinary uniqueness of Glant. A line of nearly 2000 selections in an array of textures and colors has made Glant an international leader in home décor. Glant fabrics can be found in the most discriminating homes, as well as high-end hotels, restaurants, private jets and luxury yachts. With production originating in the fashion mecca of Northern Italy, Glant’s mills produce the finest jacquard, linens, silks, cotton, viscose and acrylic textiles.
Glant has strived to create a collection that defines beauty through innovated designs that inspire. Constantly rejuvenating and reinvigorating the collections lines, Gary Glant finds a new chance each day to find inspiration. The Classic line is just that, “classic”, a combination of color and texture that withstands time. The Couture line is elegance defined; a fabric that can be used in both home décor and commercial spaces. The Glant Outdoor Collection surprises with beautiful chenille in a variety of soothing neutrals and hues. Designed with outdoor use in mind, Glant’s outdoor collection is suitable for the indoor project as well.
In 1973, Gary Glant ran a successful chain of fabric and design stores in the Pacific Northwest. In 1976, he launched Glant Textiles. Traveling to Finland, Gary designed a line of textiles inspired by architecture. When Glant presented his collection to Kneeder-Fauchere, the leading furnishings showroom, they immediately agreed to represent Glant’s line of designs. His work was soon featured on the cover of Home and Garden and Glant Textiles was born. Today, Glant is still a family represented company and is a world leader in color and texture.
