CAROLYN RAY WALLCOVERING

Carolyn Ray does not create home décor, she creates art for interiors.  There is home décor, and then there is Carolyn Ray. Her in-house team of designers created a unique blend of art and interior; a collection of wallcovering that stand out.  Each part of the process is viewed through the prism of innovation. Their headquarters is a laboratory; their designers are inventors, who achieved the perfect alchemy between form, function and unique design.

WALLCOVERING COLLECTION

From Carolyn Ray’s distinct crucible of creation a collection of wallcoverings has been created that is  tantalizing.  Her designs hit the imagination, wallart.  A hand-screen-printed rectangular check motif, subtle shades to keep us mesmerized. Varying shades of stripes and patterns create a wallcovering that is modern and elegant in its simplicity. Stylized photographic snap-shots as a pattern against gentle solids.  Wallcovering as art equals Carolyn Ray.

HISTORY

Carolyn Ray, President and Creative Director, began her career as a painter. She brought her keen eye and fine art background into the world of textiles and wallcoverings, created a design ethos that was timeless and innovative. Now, nearly 40 years later, Carolyn Ray’s work has been recognized worldwide and can be found in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian Institution, the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, and the Rhode Island School of Design.
