F & H Cares- Our Very First Donation!

SUPPORTING SPECIAL EDUCATION 1 yard at a time

Our first donation went to the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) to help children and youths impacted by a specific learning disability (a neurological condition that interferes with an individual’s ability to store, process and produce information). This can affect a person’s ability to read, write, speak, spell and compute math. It also impacts reasoning, attention, memory, coordination, social skills and emotional maturity.

President & CEO Lindsay E. Jones said in an email, “We deeply appreciate your support. Thanks to your help, in 2019, we were able to accomplish so much for individuals with learning disabilities and attention issues.”

Lorie Thur Katz, the daughter of F&H’s founder, works with children with disabilities and hopes to widen her impact on these children with her annual donations.
