The Watts of West Minister collection is much more than a line of wallcoverings; it is a treasured archive of awe-inspiring beauty and style. Born from a tradition over a century in the making wallcoverings that are an artistic blend of the contemporary and traditional. All across their collections, beautiful traditions are revived to their shining glory.
Over a century ago, three well-known English architect-designers, George Frederick Bodley, George Gilbert Scott, and Thomas Garner, joined forces to not only create magnificent structures, but also provide the wallpaper, textiles, embroidery, woodwork, metalwork and stained glass for the interiors. Their company’s name, “Watts”, showcased the trio’s sense of humor, a play on the phrase “Watt’s in a name?”. Today, this fifth-generation company’s original founders still guide Watts, as it continues to provide wallpapers and textiles for projects all over the world.
